and I don't get Purple Poinsettias...okay, confession...I would have loved these Purple Poinsettias* when I was 13...but now they are a shock to the system...

I think your comment reveals something - people who get too into the offbeat, often seem to be people who never quite grow up - that can be a good thing and that can be a bad thing...
I think you seem to have your child's heart in other places so I think you are okay!!
Well, my poinsettia confession of the year....I won't buy any live ones this year. I have tried for at least 15 years and never succeed in keeping them alive through the season. I compared prices with the live ones (which would soon look pitiful in my home as I systematically manage to make them die...I swear they drop leaves in the store as I walk by!)to the price of decent looking artificial (gasp) ones. But, rest assured...NO purple ones.
[grinning] it isn't really the colour purple that gave me palpitations...more the fact that the purple was spray-painted onto the poinsettias...
(well, and that is was shiny)
