And So It Grows

Look! I simply cannot (knock on wood) believe it...but this might be the First Ever Pumpkin I've raised to maturity [this is me grinning from ear to ear]Do these things just fall off the vine when they're done? (sssshhh, my ignorance is showing)

And we're* working on a bead board back splash in the kitchen...the bead board is left over from the new ceiling on the front porch...hence the current multi-colour look...

And the kitchen getting a new coat of paint...Tan Almond or something like that...I've lost my paint chip...a BHG colour from H/M**...the paint man opened up the can and all three of us (me, DH and Paint Man) looked, first, at the paint can, then at one another, then back at the paint can...

Let's just call this one a Case of Painting Dangerously...

Teddy says "Hey"...sure, he looks all sweet and cute...It Is A TRAP! you go to rub that soft white tummy and then the Claws O' Death come out...

Pretty pumpkin! Is it for eating or looking at?

I love beadboard. Can't wait to see that color. That yellow kitty has a soft tummy. We have three yellow kitties and have free access to the tummies.

You're in South GA aren't you? I'm following Cheri's blog and she is from Fitzgerald. (cherischatter.blogspot.com)

I can't help you with the pumpkin. Where I live you have to harvest things before the frost comes. I love beadboard too. Linda

Yay for the pumpkin! They're hard to grow here. Last year I got one but this year they seem to have liked the hot dry weather and I got quite a few. I love beadboard and it's going to look so fabulous on your backsplash.

We're planning on moving to The City of Decaur in Spring so I'm pretty busy trying to get my house ready to sell. I'm not online much these days.

Trying to enjoy this gorgeous weather because I'm sure it's going to be an early and cold winter!

Sheila, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your pumpkin; actually I am enamored with all pumpkins and gourds, the wartier the better. I think you cut them off the stem when the skin is hard, but I could be wrong ; )

Have fun at the Fair, just don't get too frustrated with the crowds. One vendor told me next year they may be doing 4 locations, hopefully one would be closer to New England.

I can't believe the pumpkin has turned color, I thought for sure it wouldn't make it. When the stem drys and shrivels up between the vine and the pumpkin than you can pick it.

The bead board looks great, need more pictures of the whole project please.

Sheila, you are too funny! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a cute comment. Your beadboard is going to look fabulous! That pumpkin is wonderful. I just watched the Foodnetwork carving challenge. The pumpkin carvings were something I had never seen. Amazing! Love the kitty...Have a wonderful day! Linda
